Kootenai Ductless: Excellence in Every Installation

With over 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry, I began my career at the ground level, specializing in crawlspace and small space installations (back when I was a bit slimmer). Over the years, I progressed to become the lead “go-to” installer for multiple companies, often being called upon to provide quality control for installation teams. After many years of refining my craft, I was blessed to take the next step and start my own business.

My passion for the trade began at a young age, working alongside my grandfather, a handyman, on various home remodel projects including tile work, and small remodels. It was through this hands-on experience that I discovered my desire to improve people’s lives through home upgrades. As a teenager, I had the opportunity to apprentice under Doug Mayne at Mayne Mechanical, where I was introduced to the HVAC industry. This experience solidified my love for working with my hands and instilled in me a deep pride in delivering quality work.

I pursued my formal education at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, where I received one of the best technical educations in the country. I earned my Technical Certificate and an EPA Universal License. Shortly after, I relocated to North Idaho, where I met my wonderful wife and started our family. We have two beautiful daughters, ages 6 and 8, and a son who is less than a year old. We’ve made North Idaho our home for the past 12 years, and we’re committed to spending the rest of our lives enjoying the unique challenges and rewards of North Idaho weather. When I’m not working, I cherish every moment spent with my family, whether we’re on the lake, wrenching on hot rods (I’m a big hot rod enthusiast), or attending community events. Those who have worked with me know that I’m one of the most positive people you’ll meet—I’ve been known to sing while I work and always find the bright side of things. I’m incredibly thankful for the blessings God has given me.

Over the course of 10 years with a leading North Idaho HVAC company, I’ve installed hundreds of systems across Kootenai County and beyond. My experience spans from hundreds of ductless mini-split systems (both single and multi-zone), ducted ductless systems, air handlers, high and standard efficiency gas furnaces, unitary heat pumps, air conditioners, Indoor Air Quality Systems, tanked and on-demand water heaters, to retrofits, new construction, and remodels. Driving through neighborhoods, I can proudly point to homes where I’ve replaced systems. I’ve continually sought opportunities for professional growth through certifications and training, holding an EPA License, Ward Flex Certificate, Journeyman & Contractors License, Bonding, Specialty Plumbing Journeyman License, Zoomlock Certificate, PTCS Heat Pump Commissioning Certificate, and more.

I truly love the HVAC industry and the work I do each day.
